Melanie Matta
The Hope Elementary School Board named Mrs. Melanie Matta as superintendent/principal during their March 2018 board meeting. Mrs. Matta has been in education for 22 years and is in her eleventh year in administration. She obtained her B.A. in Liberal Studies at San Diego State University and her teaching credential and master's degree from Fresno State. Mrs. Matta has enjoyed 10 years of teaching experience as a first, second, and fifth grade teacher, as well as serving as a literacy coach and reading specialist before moving on to administration. When Mrs. Matta is not spending her time helping to make Hope the best place it can be, she can be found going on adventures with her friends and family. Most weekends, she spends time between Santa Barbara and Monterey where her daughters are enjoying college life.
