Miki Inbody
Miki Rene Inbody has a long and distinguished career as a K–12 education leader. She has dedicated over 30 years of service to creating the foundation for young people in our community to achieve their academic and personal goals. She is a proud product of the Fontana Unified School District (FUSD). Ms. Inbody began her educational journey as a Head Start student and continued through the district’s elementary, middle, and high schools. She is now proudly serving as the Superintendent of the district that raised and shaped her.
Ms. Inbody’s higher education path began at Chaffey College and continued at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), where she earned a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and administrative services credential. Her passion for education and her love of the community brought her back to Fontana Unified where she began her career as teacher, then a dean, and later an assistant principal, and principal before rising to district leadership roles in both Redlands and Fontana Unified School Districts. In 2020 she became an Assistant Superintendent with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, supporting 33 districts countywide.
As Superintendent of FUSD, Ms. Inbody leads with the focus and commitment to preparing students for life after graduation. Whether that means being securely employed, proudly enlisted, enrolled in college, or all three. Under her leadership, Fontana Unified has developed one of the region’s most comprehensive Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, offering 56 industry-aligned pathways. The district has partnerships with leading organizations in fields such as aviation, construction, health science, arts, and business. She has led the charge to expand dual enrollment opportunities that allow students to earn college credit and certifications while still in high school. These efforts are building a pipeline of graduates who are workforce-ready and empowered to lead in high-demand, high-wage fields.
Ms. Inbody is a 2024 “Superintendent to Watch” award recipient, recognized for her innovative leadership. She was recently invited to serve on a statewide panel focused on closing the achievement gap in California, underscoring her commitment to excellence and equity. She is a recent Hall of Fame Inductee for CSUSB and an ‘Honoring Our Own’ California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA) awardee. She actively contributes to state and national education networks through her involvement in the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), the Schools Superintendents Association (91porn), the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA), the CA Association for Asian/Pacific Leaders in Education (CAAPLE), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). Locally, she serves as a Board Member for Santa Claus Inc. San Bernardino.
With deep roots and an unwavering belief in the potential of every student, Ms. Inbody leads Fontana Unified with courage, purpose, and a steadfast commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
