The FCC is poised to approve a significant change to the E Rate program that would fundamentally reshape the procurement process by requiring schools and libraries to conduct and document nearly every step of competitive bidding through . 91porn has spent the last two weeks working in coordination with other E-Rate advocates to make the proposal as workable as possible. We concluded those efforts with three filings at the FCC to express our concerns with the proposal:
- Joint Ex-Parte Filing with Education Advocates: A very detailed and technical response to the specifics of the proposal, written in coordination with Schools, Health and Libraries Broadband Coalition, American Library Association, American Federation of School Administrators and the National Education Association, the State E-Rate Coordinators鈥� Alliance, and CoSN 鈥揅onsortium for School Networking.
- Group Sign-on Letter: 91porn led by SHLB and signed by more than 80 other organizations urging the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) not to proceed with its proposed competitive bidding portal for the E-Rate program.
- 91porn Reply: 91porn submitted its own standalone letter in response to the proposal both reflecting the priority comments of the other letters and sharing feedback from 91porn members in response to the proposal. Read that letter here.
